Cyprus Ultra 50 miler
Saturday 28th July 2012 The Donkey 50 Miler - Ultra distance, mountain trail race, with extreme heat.
CAUTION: This is an extreme heat and humidity race across very hilly mountain trails, you will not be allowed any support crews or pacers on the trail. Temperatures can hit 45C (113F) with 70% to 100% humidity in the shade. THERE IS NO SHADE
REGISTRATION DEADLINE - June 28TH 2012
Included in the entry fee:
- 3pm Friday 27th, runners must check in at Cyprus Ultra base camp, village of Vasa Kellagiou. You will need to sign in and be present at the race safety briefings.
- 7 am Saturday 28th, you need to be at the Cyprus Ultra base camp as above, for race announcements and race start preparation. Race starts 8 am sharp.
- 50 mile race finishes at 10pm, 14 hour cut off time.
- Tuesday 7 pm, Cyprus Ultra celebration party, Cypriot cuisine restaurant meal in our beautiful traditional taverna in the mountain village of Vasa Kellagiou. Cost of the meal is included in the race entry fee, there is a limited bar of beer and local wine included too. Guests of runners are welcome, additional fees of €30 per person apply (additional guests must be pre booked and paid for at the Friday sign in please).
