Race day info
Rules
1) A fully charged mobile phone must be with you at all times during the race. Your emergency call for help number on race day is 95508007.
2) Pacers and support crews ARE NOT allowed on the race route.
3) This is a RUNNING race (although you can walk). Hiking sticks ARE NOT permitted at Cyprus Ultra.
4) Anyone runner found on the course in need of assistance will be removed from the race and will not be allowed to rejoin - NO EXCEPTIONS.
5) EVERY participant must complete the race waiver and medical forms.
6) Your team, friends, family ARE NOT allowed anywhere on the course but are welcome at the start/finish line.
7) You will need a water bottle of CamelBak. After seeing the devastating effects on the environment, we will no longer be using plastic water bottles at Cyprus Ultra Marathon.
8) Cyprus Ultra Marathon is a alcohol free zone. Any runner and support crew seen with alcohol at the main base camp area during the race hours of 7 AM to 6:00 PM will lead to disqualification of the runner. NO EXCEPTIONS.
9) Each lap that you complete, you MUST check in at basecamp and write your time in and time out. It's a very simple process that will be explained to you on race morning.
10) Safety in the heat; Your lap times, pace and well-being will be carefully monitored on each section on the course by our professional nurses, if at any point during the race you are showing symptoms of heat exhaustion/heat stroke, for your safety you will be removed from the race - The medical teams decision is final and cannot be overruled by the race director.
- 50 km race has a 8.5 hour cut off time.
- CAUTION: This is a race across very hilly mountain trails with a total elevation gain of approx 1400 meters.
- For the very fit runners wanting a real running challenge, the entire route is 100% runnable.
- You must carry your own sports water bottle or Camelbak. After seeing the devastating effects on the environment we will no longer be using plastic water bottles at Cyprus Ultra Marathon.
- You will need to bring your own electrolytes and sports drinks etc. We only supply water stations with the usual mix of sugary snacks.
- Mosquito repellant essential for evening. See also Recommended running gear.

- Cyprus Ultra finishers medal (if you finish within cut off).
- 1, 2, 3 place medals for men and women category.
- Race bib number.
- Coke, biscuits, lays chips, oranges, fresh toast with various spreads, bananas, apricots, tea, coffee - SELF SERVICE.
- Water via hand operated water pump to refill your container at the 1km, 1.9 km, 7 km, 11 km, 14 km, 18 km and 21 km aid stations
- Full medical support on site including fully equipped private ambulance and first aid nurses.
